What We Do

This is a cross-cutting activity in all the programmes of (ZDF) is an integrated activity. (ZDF) is supporting 20 orphans and vulnerable children by provision of scholastic materials, school fees and basic materials. We are getting a very big challenge in terms of funding considering the level of poverty resulting from the 13-year war. There are many Orphans that need support but they lack support.

It is already a global crisis before the pandemic, has intensified since the outbreak of COVID-19. Lockdowns and other mobility restrictions have left many women trapped with their abusers, isolated from social contact and support networks. Increased economic precarity has further limited many women’s ability to leave abusive situations. COVID-driven economic and social instability will also heighten the risk of child marriage, female genital mutilation and human trafficking. At the same time, the pandemic has exposed women leaders to backlash, leading to threats, abuse and harassment both online and offline. Violence against women leaders can prevent them from carrying out their duties regardless of the position they hold.  (ZDF) will work and Collaborate with other NGOs to prevent GBV case Violence

The ZAI Programme on Protection is a comprehensive initiative aimed at safeguarding vulnerable populations, particularly children, from harm. The program focuses on preventing abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence by establishing robust protective systems within communities. Through education, advocacy, and support services, the ZAI Programme seeks to create environments where children can thrive safely and with dignity.

ZDF aims to safeguard and improve nutritional status of the vulnerable individuals, we also emphasise on the promotion of good health through behavioural change. ZDF works on promoting nutritional health through community programs in order to avoid health risks and to manage conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and obesity.

ZDF focuses on improving infant and child maternal health with strong immune system, making it safer pregnancy and child birth with lower risk of communicable disease (such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases) and longevity. Our programme on breastfeeding has reached
expectant and nursing mothers in various clinics and healthcare’s

The ZAI Programme on Breastfeeding is dedicated to promoting and supporting breastfeeding as a vital practice for ensuring the health and well-being of both mothers and infants. The program focuses on educating communities about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life, followed by continued breastfeeding along with appropriate complementary foods for up to two years or beyond. Through workshops, support groups, and partnerships with healthcare providers, the ZAI Programme aims to empower mothers with the knowledge and resources they need to breastfeed successfully. The initiative also advocates for policies that protect and encourage breastfeeding in public spaces and workplaces, recognizing the significant role that breastfeeding plays in reducing infant mortality, preventing childhood illnesses, and promoting lifelong health.
